Lopez Found Guilty of Lesser Charge in Deaths of Citronelle Couple on I-65 Bridge in 2012

John D. Lopez was found guilty Friday of criminally negligent homicide while driving under the influence in connection with the deaths of a Citronelle couple in a collision on the Dolly Parton Bridge in October 2012. Lopez, 39, of Theodore, who also went by the name of Derek Lopez, was charged with vehicular homicide in the deaths of James Wilson "J.W." Barber, 74, and his wife, Lorine Lily Frazier Barber, 65, both of Citronelle, after the couple's 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck slammed into the back of a crane truck driven by Lopez on the I-65 bridge on Oct. 26, 2012.
